Full Moons

It seems as if I’m always apologizing for not posting enough “astrology” on my astrology blog.  Oh well.  Maybe someone needs to pay me to do it.  Any offers?

Anyway, this has been an eventful week in the sky, and there’s still more to come.  After almost all the planets in the sky ganged up in Aries to oppose grouchy old Saturn through March and April, things are starting to change quite drastically.  Saturn itself came out of retrograde in Libra just a couple of days ago, allowing the Cardinal signs to feel as if they can breathe again.  At its worst, retrograde Saturn is a wet blanket that holds you down in one place, smothering you until you feel like you’ll never get up again.  At its best, it teaches you that every minute of your life isn’t the right minute for everything.  Patience is a virtue.

Jupiter also got moving — right into another sign.  In fact, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury and the sun all end the month in a different sign than where they started the month.  And smack dab in the middle of all that action is today’s lunar eclipse in Sagittarius.

What does that all mean?  I’d normally say that an eclipse in Sagittarius shines a light on our beliefs, but in this case I’ll advise anyone who reads my blog to reconsider long-term plans based on how you feel today.  There are some deep truths in your feelings and impulses today that you can genuinely trust — that’s not always the case during a lunar eclipse.  Different opportunities are beginning to arise behind the scenes, and even if the full moon isn’t illuminating them now, trust that they’re there.  Nevertheless, remember that Saturn still hasn’t started to push forward with any velocity, and Jupiter is in a sign that makes waiting for opportunity to come along a reasonable strategy for getting ahead.

A lunar eclipse in Sagittarius may bring out the eager, boisterous side of many of us, but right now is a good time to take it easy and trust that things will work out — even without a plan.  Trust your impulses today, but don’t go crazy acting upon them.  The time for action is yet to come.
