Many Cancer natives take offense when I describe them as “conservative.” The word has political associations that have taken on a life of their own. Yet I use the word to mean “resistant to change,” and nothing describes the members of this sun sign more accurately.
Take today’s birthday girl, for example, in her most famous role. Kathy Bates became a household name by playing the psychotic Annie Wilkes in “Misery.” There aren’t a lot of actors who have created such an iconic role without leaving a little of themselves on the screen. I don’t suppose that Kathy Bates has much in common with the character she played, but I do get a Cancer vibe from Annie Wilkes, nonetheless. Cancer natives can be conservative in the worst possible way, and there aren’t many ways worse than those favored by Annie Wilkes.
